‘Sambil menyelam minum air’. Perumpamaan itu sesuai dengan post ku kali ini. Semasa cutu panjang Deepavali dan Maal Hijrah, kami 4beranak habiskan masa bersama dengan melawat rakan-rakan kami di Zoo Taiping. We went for night Safari. The animals were so friendly. Of course bukan setakat anak-anak yang teruja, kami parents pun teruja. From Taiping we drove straight to Alor Star. Jumpa my inlaws and spend for 2 nights there.
Friday till Sunday we spend our weekend at Penang. Ah, i just love Penang so much. The island is beauty. In my eyes lah. We stayed at Kak Tasha’s condo at Penang Times Square. Very confortable place abd kids love it because theres a swimming pool!. Thank you Kak Tasha. We went to Bukit bendera. They are using the new train. Serious laju!. Had our nasi kandaq at Tajuddin. Dinner at Gurney. And drive around Feringhi. Shuhid and her friend join us on Saturday. Sunday morning at 530am, me shuhid and her friend left the apartment and we were mentally and physically prepare for our 10km PBIM2012.
About the race, we start at Eastin Hotel and run towards Penang Bridge and uturn back. We were part of the history as this year is the final year for PBIM at the current bridge. Next year its gonna be on the new bridge. They estimated arund 33,400 people who participated. My timing was awesome. We cant simply take pictures on the bridge and use the mobile toilets on the bridge. But we runners did it! Hahaha. It was an experience tho. Im not sattisfied abit with the running vest as it is the same as Standard Chartered Run. Plus i think is is not organized when we reach the finishing line, runners need to be in the super long que to get the drinks and runners need to pass through the lines in order to get out from the crowd. No proper exit for runners. Interms of entertainment also very boring. Organizers knew that there will be more than 10,000 runners so they should come out with something fun tho. I hope for the PBIM2013, organizers take note of the lack and holes ya.
I think i do put on weight after i came back from penang. Mana tak nya.. hari hari nasi kandaq!. Now my pipi dah macam pau pun ada. Last but not least, thank you my darling husband for driving me and kids to Penang and babysit the kids while mama run the bridge!.
